Volunteer Opportunities
In order to fulfill our vision "to influence the lives of youth through Jesus Christ and to help provide resources to help the youth reach their potential and become productive members of their family and community," True North relies on the Body of Christ to be vessels used to impact the teems.

Here is a sampling of the things you can do to help True North Ministry. Faithful volunteers keep True North Ministry alive.

Joining True North
Our requirements are in place to not only allow us to meet the standards set by our liability insurance, but also to help us provide to the facilities and the youth, volunteers that have a passion for Christ that is evident in their home-life, Church-life and thus serve Him in their Churches, families, and communities. We are committed to equip our volunteers through continued training and support.

Volunteer Requirements:

bullet Member of local church  
bullet True North Application and 2 references  
bullet At least 21 years of age  
bullet Facility Background Check  
bullet Fingerprinting (Mentors only)  
bullet Volunteer Training (2-3 hours)  
bullet Facility Training & Application (State Facilities)  
bullet Volunteer Meetings (1 per year/ 2 per year for mentors  
bullet 1 year commitment  
bullet Valid Driver's License& proof of auto insurance

Involve Your Church

bullet Invite a Mentor or Director to present our outreach.
bullet Visit True North's C.O.M.P.A.S.S. Center (Community Outreach Providing Adolescence Skills and Service). Our location is a great site for meetings, service projects, and a place to find refuge in God.
bullet Recommend a male youth for our Leadership Council.
